Nike+

Nike
Now it's my turn to talk about Nike+. Jason gave it to me for christmas along with the armband. So, on December 26th, I went out and hit the pavement. Well, on December 26th, we were staying in a hotel visiting his parents, so I hit the treadmill. But, since then I've hit the pavement. Running has been going pretty well, I've been getting out about 5-6 times per week and I've worked up to being able to consistently and comfortably run a 5K. To be fair, I started running in the fall, but I've only been able to easily track it since I got the Nike thing. Now that Hoover has it too, I look forward to challenging him on the Nike+ website...

So, on the right side of my blog (above my busted flickr), I posted a little app from justdoing.it You can see all the stuff it posts, which is pretty cool. The only anomaly is that if my legs are tired in the morning, sometimes I go for a walk, so my times are skewed high.

I don't run in the fancy shoes because Nikes hurt my feet, but my shoes of choice are the new Saucony Triumph 4. I've had the Saucony Triumph 2 and 3, so I continued and got the 4 in December. They are the first model of shoes that I've had that don't hurt my legs/back/feet/etc. They are incredible for me and, with the Nike+ thing, running is actually... fun!
