Trip to Rhode Island
This past week my great grandmother passed away. My dad is the oldest grandkid and I am the oldest great grandkid, so, my folks and I drove up to Rhode Island to attend the services Tuesday morning and came back Friday night. They were very traditional and beautiful. Anyway, I don't want to make this a sad post, so here are some fun highlights from RI.
This is "pahty" pizza. Mostly all of my relatives changes words with "ar" to "ah", so it ended up sounding a lot like "potty" pizza. It was delicious though and found in mostly every bakery and convenience store in RI. I wish we had that here!
We got clam cakes from Rocky Point Chowder House. They were basically little funnel cake balls with a bit of clam pieces inside. Overall, very awesome and the "chowda" was good too. Oh yeah, and they still get milk delivered to their houses. very cool.
