yeah they can...
so it is time to reveal to the gen pop my email address. all fan mail, death threats, comments, ideas, etc. can now come to b4@papernapkin.net.
so come all ye freeks, send me an email. i would love to hear from you and really respect your opinions...
as i sit here perusing the spreadsheet i made to find the best deal for my groomsmen gifts, i found myself a bit concerned. what has happened to me. am i becoming a geek? so i came up with this list of things i have started doing...
you are on your way to geekdom if...
...every dollar you have spent in the last 3 years has passed though Excel
...you get depressed when you get less than 10 e-mail msgs a day
...the languages section of your resume reads Cold Fusion, VB, C...
...you can remember your web address faster than your phone number
...you have referred to sleep as a reboot
...you do not even know where your bank is anymore
...you e-mail yourself notes rather than writing them down
...more time is spent customizing preferences than using the application
...you use "." instead of "-" when typing your phone number
AND #1
...you have contemplated for more than an hour the OS Jeff Goldblum used to hack into an alien mothership
wow never saw that coming. TBD if this is a good thing or not...
can we say a stalkers dream?
take this site and look up a potential victim.
copy the address to either google maps or keyhole to get a satelite image and viola!
you will be boiling their pet rabbit in no time!
on a serious note though, how scary is that?
and on another note, I am the only person i have typed in that did not come up. yeah secret identity!
if it says Google, i'll try it.
Picasa2 is their (new?) picture organizing program. free for download, and if you dont currently run any form of image viewer, it may be worth a shot. but dont take my word for it since i am easily wooed by spinny timeline thingies and smooth scrolling menus.
he is so screwed...
"The juvenile said she had been raped by Smith, according to Barlow. The girl also told detectives about images she'd seen on his computer that contained what appeared to be children involved in sexual situations, according to an affidavit for a search warrant."
ok ok so i smoked about a carton over the weekend, i have an excuse, it was my engagement party. but i am back now on the waggon, one a day is the way...
say it with me...
by now most of you know about Google Maps - (an alternative to mapquest)
some of you have played around with the Satelite Views - (real live satelite pictures of your destination)
now Google has aquired Keyhole - (a software that provides a "magic carpet of a ride" to your destination)
i downloaded the free trial and i have been all over the place today. i went to warrenton, ashburn, harrisonburg, tysons, mclean... then decided there is a whole world out there and headed west... Leesburg...hahah i will warn you, if you do not know the name of the country, it makes things difficult. still trying to figure out what country the British Virgin Islands are in.
oh and dont stare too much it will make you kinda sick
from LifeHacker:
pretty good article on men's shaving techniques
that saying holds true more times than not. in most recent example Stephanie and I have just gotten back home from a 3 day mourning for our friend Jenna to find out that Stephanie's grandmother has just passed. emotionally I am not sure Stephanie can take anymore. we are both drained, both physically and emotionally.
one thought has lurked us since we heard the latest bad news, the rule of 3. the theory that bad things travel in 3's. if this is to hold true, there is one more. unless you count the pope, but neither Stephanie or I are Catholic. I really hope the rule will be broken this time around for everyone's sake.
after day 1 i am doing ok. i have decided that the ultimate goal here is to quit, not to point fingers and feel bad if i slip up. so i have alotted myself one cigarette a day. until of course i do not need it anymore. seems to be around 6pm when i want it the most.
so the plan is this. one smoke 6pm daily. weekends and drinking events will need to be played by ear. early on in the game it is impossible to break the whole alcohol/cigarette tie, but i can loosen it.
wish me luck. is it 6pm yet?
as a part of our mourning process, a large group of friends have given up smoking together. today is day one.
palms a bit sweaty, and definately have some craving, but not too bad.
wonder how long i will be saying that?
looks like both of our loveable tards are in trouble. this from pops...
"Did anyone see this article?? Looks like both tards are in trouble! I definately followed the non 14 year old banging tard down 66 on friday. He was with 3 friends in 14 yr old banging tards honda civic."
