clear bullshit

i have been listening to streaming radio for the past couple of days. BP blocks shoutcast and other streaming radio, but this comes through nicely. this morning i went on a quest for the morning shows across the land. started in Chicago, went to Dallas, over to SanDiego, finally to Pearl City, HI. kind of following the time changes.

well here comes the conspiracy theory.

the EDGE out of Texas has a morning show called the "morning edge". they were reading an email that was sent to them about some lady in TX who wants to open a message parlor in her house in Dallas. people call in and talk about it blah blah blah.

STAR 101.9 out of Hawaii has a "bizzarro morning show", starts at noon here. they were reading an email that was sent to them about some lady in HI who wants to open a message parlor in her house in Maui. people call in and talk about it blah blah blah.

sound familliar? oh yeah they are both Clear Channel stations! it was the exactly the same as the TX one. then i really started looking into this. websites the same, girl and guy DJ, wacky friends, dumb fat guy that does all the stupid stunts and promotion around town. they all have this! did anyone hear about a lady who wants to open a message parlor in DC this morning on Elliot?

canned morning shows, new low. i mean seriously, they are pretending. there was no message parlor. it pisses me off...

If she's sending email from home, then she already has a message parlor.

Massage parlor is a different can of worms.

Hey, maybe in-home massage parlors are the new thing.

But Clear Channel are evil incarnate. This doesn't surprise me at all. They already have a reputation for making all radio stations of the same genre have exactly the same format across the country.

They probably have scripts with "[insert local city name here]" notation.

and this is what upsets me. great point.
