Crue

went to the Motley Crue show on saturday night at the Nissan Pavillion, and i must say, it kicked major ass. allow me to go over some highlights of the show.

this was a true to form rock show. complete with carnival theme, face paint, midgets, strippers, powertools, motorcycles, fire, and bombs. a true delight for the eyes and the ears.

opened up with a midget dressed up like a troll and went straight into Shout at the Devil. vince, nikki, and tommy had more than enough energy to get the rockstar vibe, mic on the other hand did not move too much. he has some kind of spine disease and did not appear to be as spry. i actually suspect that it was not mic playing at all, rather another guy dressed in black leather, platform boots, tophat with skull, and facepaint.

so after being pumped up by the opening song, they went into some real old shit that i did not know. the hoovers informed me later that they were good songs, i disagree, they about lost me for an entire set.

then we get ahold of the setlist and a ray of light shined down from above onto those songs in the last set.

lets look a bit closer and analize this playlist.

there was a short break after Live Wire and Girls Girls Girls which i assume was for some shots, bang a couple of the strippers and get ol mic a quick transfusion.

all the songs where pyro was used have been marked so no one pulls an ODB and takes a blast to the face.

the drum solo was awesome. they hoisted tommy up by wire to one of two drum sets above the crowd. then he would proceed to fly by wire from one to another above the roaring fans. this drum solo was basically put in so that the other members could have another break and prop ol mic back up.

then came the titty cam. this is kinda self explanitory. nikki had a cam corder hooked up to the jumbo tron and girls exposed themselves to the audiance. yeah, that was cool.

and my personal favorite, beside Kickstart My Heart is a note that says simply "ton of crap". they basically threw everything they had at us at that point.

we left before the encore. dwayne says i should have stayed.

you didn't even make mention that the word "titty cam" is on the set list...

anyway, you should have stayed for the encore...crue's rendition of that sex pistol's classic is top notch.
